I took some time away from work to spend with family and friends. It was wonderful. While I was sitting in the sand, I remained blissfully ignorant of what was going on in the business world. We did have to track hurricane Earl through the Atlantic for a couple of days, but other than that, no news. Just sun, sand, and waves.
Now I’m back and have spent most of this week catching up. While digging out of my inbox and chatting with my coworkers, I found all sorts of interesting things. I have provided links to a variety of content from or about SAS. Let me know what I missed.
Things I took the time to read
- Radhika Kulkarni, vice president of advanced analytics R&D, talks about sentiment analytics and data limits
- SAS Business Analytics Knowledge Exchange
- Tapan Patel writes about self-service predictive analytics in the sascom voices blog.
- The folks from JMP analyzed office temperature using a design in JMP, which I read with great interest because I freeze in my office most days.
- Rick Wicklin launched his new blog The DO Loop. He writes tips and techniques for using SAS/IML.
- Chris Hemedinger confirms that SAS Enterprise Guide 4.3 is available.
- We should all pay attention to this kind of stuff: 10 ways data is changing how we live.
There are so many more things, but I can’t put them all here. Watch the support.sas.com home page and the Recent Updates RSS feed for more interesting articles from or about SAS.
